    Welcome to Attune Psychotherapy!

Attuning is listening to more than words.  It is a way of leaning in with acceptance and compassion to hear you and your experience more fully. Attunement is presence that welcomes you to share at your own pace.  This safe affirming dynamic may be a new experience for you. If so, you are in the right place.

My passion is to help clients heal from emotional abuse and neglect, whether from childhood or adult relationships.  My approach is client-affirming and non-blaming.

Emotional abuse and neglect are covert and leave wounds that are not visible.  While neglect can happen without intention, the wounds left still hurt us.  Our experiences taught us to shut off certain needs in order to stay connected.  These strategies can impact our ways of thinking, interacting with others, and our ways of seeing ourselves.  Just as our brains were adaptive to protect us, they can learn to adapt to new circumstances now.

My experience and training is in helping clients understand and find healing in order to enjoy life from a place of presence, openness, and curiosity. I enjoy helping clients find the transformational change they seek in order to become the spouse, friend, parent or colleague they long to be.  I love to support fellow therapists in their own work.
